Elevated severity
This campaign addresses a defect NHTSA classifies as carrying elevated crash or injury risk.
What the defect is
General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2025 Cadillac XT4 vehicles. The instrument panel may be missing the perforation on the underside of the panel cover that allows the passenger-side air bag to deploy properly.
Why it matters
A passenger-side air bag that does not deploy properly increases the risk of injury in a crash.
The remedy
Dealers will replace the instrument panel upper cover, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 29, 2024. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006. GM's number for this recall is A242476151.
What this page does not include
NHTSA's public recall feed does not supply an affected-population count, the manufacturer's own campaign number, owner-notification dates or a defect chronology for this campaign. Rather than estimate them, we omit them. Confirm whether a specific vehicle is affected — and whether the repair has already been done — using its VIN.
