Check body panels for dents, scratches, and rust
Walk around the vehicle in daylight. Look for mismatched paint, panel gaps, and signs of bodywork.
Inspect tires for wear patterns
Uneven wear may indicate alignment or suspension issues. Check tread depth (use a penny — if you see all of Lincoln's head, replace).
Check all lights work
Headlights (low/high), brake lights, turn signals, reverse lights, hazard lights.
Inspect windshield for chips or cracks
Small chips can spread. Check wipers and washer fluid operation.
Check under the vehicle for leaks
Look for oil, coolant, transmission fluid, or brake fluid on the ground.
Inspect door seals and weatherstripping
Damaged seals can cause wind noise and water leaks.
