Elevated severity
This campaign addresses a defect NHTSA classifies as carrying elevated crash or injury risk.
What the defect is
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2020 Range Rover Evoque vehicles. The cover for the left-side lower knee air bag may come loose, allowing the air bag cushion to unfold.
Why it matters
An improperly folded air bag may not deploy as intended, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.
The remedy
Dealers will replace the left-side lower knee air bag module, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed June 6, 2025. Owners may contact Land Rover's customer service at 800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N979. This recall expands and replaces previous NHTSA recall 21V-168.
What this page does not include
NHTSA's public recall feed does not supply an affected-population count, the manufacturer's own campaign number, owner-notification dates or a defect chronology for this campaign. Rather than estimate them, we omit them. Confirm whether a specific vehicle is affected — and whether the repair has already been done — using its VIN.
