Infotainment cluster going black. Hyundai refuses to provide vehicle & won’t diagnose issue even after making appt.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM — Filed 07/17/2026
I bought my car in for recalls and they performed service. I got down the road when the HUD started going out over bumps. They could not duplicate it when I bought it back after picking it up. This was yesterday 7/16/26. They have had this car for a total of 18 days not including other issues that I have bought it in for. Today I am having issues with the instrument cluster and HUD going out randomly over bumps still. This is exactly what I explained when dropping it for the repair. This is resulting in me not being able to read the instrument cluster since it displays no signal on cluster or goes completely black.

The rear door locks and trunk lid do not always unlock. This creates a safety concern for rear passengers because they cannot easily exit the car because door won't unlock. The dealership says issue is intermittent yet it's still happening.
FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE — Filed 06/25/2026
I have had nothing but trouble with software issues since the very first recall (software related) on my vehicle, just a few months after I purchased it. I have had a very difficult time having Hyundai address these issues, and recently opened my third case with Hyundai. The issue: On 6/24/26 Peddar Hyundai conducted the software update for the recall regarding the front collision system. Later in the day on 6/24/26 and in the days following, whenever I turned on the car, Googlemaps would automatically pop up on the infotainment screen, the car’s navigation voice (not the googleMaps voice) would instruct me to turn right or left, etc. throughout the drive, despite no route being set. I have a video of this occurring. MOST CONCERNING: 6/25/26 I was pulling out of a parking lot, with no other cars or obstacles in my path, going slowly, and the automatic braking system ground the car to a stop. There was no warning on the dash. It took a few seconds before the car would allow me to accelerate. This is the very problem the software update was supposed to fix. 7/2/26 I was using GoogleMaps navigation at night and as I was driving, the infotainment system went blank and I had no navigation. After a minute or so the map came back on, but it was just spinning in circles and couldn’t right itself. Additional issues: the infotainment system randomly keeps popping up the question, asking if I want to open Google Maps. Sometimes when using the parking camera, an informational window keeps popping up stating “Press the button to display the camera view, or press and hold to activate the parking assist system”. I use this function every day, but for some reason, at times it keeps trying to teach me how to use it. (These types of glitches have happened before after software updates.) 6/26/26 I opened a case with Hyundai. Case number 42790134. I have yet to hear from them. I've called several times and they won't return my call or address this safety issue.
SERVICE BRAKES — Filed 07/11/2026
I was intending to make a left hand turn out of a dinner parking lot. As I approached the exit, I saw that a car was about to drive past me preventing me from making that turn, so I put my foot on the brake pedal to stop my car and let the vehicle safely pass in front of me. But the brake did not work. It did not stop my car. The pedal felt limp not firm I turned sharply to the left to avoid striking the other vehicle. Fortunately no other cars were coming in either direction. I put the car in neutral and then in park. Only by the grace of God a collision was averted. I then restarted the car, the brake pedal was now firm again and I drove home. I returned home and left the car in my driveway until Monday, July 13 when I had a tow truck take the vehicle to the dealer. This is not the first time my brakes became soft and limp and failed to stop my car. There have been at least two or three previous incidents over the the past months while backing out of a parking space, the brake pedal became limp. In those instances I was able to stop the vehicle by putting it in park. When I restarted the vehicle, the brake returned to being firm. These incidents are intermittent. I don't know when and where they will occur. To date, the dealer claims not to have found anything wrong with my brakes. Apparently, unless they can replicate my experience directly themselves, they intend to send me on my merry way. I don't consider the vehicle is safe to drive. The intermittent problems I have had with the brakes all occurred in exiting parking lots and not on the highway at 55 MPH - fortunately. These incidents occurred. The brakes have failed
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM — Filed 06/08/2026
I purchased a 2025 Hyundai Tucson in March of 2026. Shortly after the purchase the screen began to malfunction. The screen glitches continuously while driving and there is no way to turn it off. This creates a significant distraction and raises serious concerns about driver safety. Especially driving at night. The screen turns completely dark then all of a sudden comes back in super bright. Because of the glitching there is no way to get to the setting to possibly turn the brightness down. It also creates a loud noise for about 10 minutes then resets itself and start all over again. I notice there was a recall about the screens glitching previously and I reached out to Hyundai and they informed my VIN wasn’t apart of the recall so there was nothing that could be done. Because the vehicle is over 60K miles I am not able to use the factory warranty. I believe it is unreasonable for a vehicle that is only a 2025 model to experience a major electronic failure after such a short period of ownership. Regardless of warranty limitations, consumers should be able to expect that critical vehicle systems, particularly those affecting safe operation, will function properly. I respectfully request that Hyundai and/or the selling dealership review this matter and provide goodwill assistance by covering the diagnostic fee and repairing or replacing the defective infotainment screen. I believe this would be a fair resolution considering the age of the vehicle, the timing of the failure, and the potential safety implications. I have taken a few screenshots of the video I recorded to show what is happening. I am not able to upload the video so you can hear the loud noise it makes.
STRUCTURE — Filed 05/09/2026
We have had two starburst cracks from very small rocks hitting our windshield on the highway and chips from tiny hail. I have never had a car with such a fragile windshield before. We are constantly worried that it would break easily while driving if something larger hits it.
SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE — Filed 07/06/2026
The automatic emergency braking system activated early and aggressively causing a rear end collision. It is available for inspection upon request. While driving in busy traffic on a highway I was lightly braking to avoid sudden stops or unexpected movements of the vehicle while traveling between 20-30 mph. The vehicle then activated the emergency braking system and came to a sudden and unexpected complete stop. This sudden stoppage caused myself and my passenger to be thrown forward harshly against the seatbelts. Additionally I was unable to steer the vehicle towards the side of the road as the wheel had locked and avoid an SUV that was rapidly approaching my rear. This SUV subsequently rear ended me. The actual collision was minor thankfully due to the low speed of the traffic, but could have been much more severe if traffic conditions had been different. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Not yet. (I am in the process of this right now, but because my car was in a collision the dealer will not fix the recall or inspect the vehicle until the collision damage is fixed) Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? See previous answer Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? The vehicle had not exhibited any issues prior to this sudden stopping.

The head-up display and the digital display cluster turn off and on while driving. The digital display cluster seems to lose connection and will show a "NO SIGNAL" message. This will happen for minutes at a time. When this happens, the display is black and does not show speed or other important safety information. The vehicle has been inspected twice by the dealership; they are not able to replicate the issue. This problem began within weeks of purchasing the new vehicle.
POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EXTERIOR LIGHTING — Filed 06/27/2026
Good morning the problems I am having with my 2025 are very discouraging. Started October of 2025, my tire light illuminated stated the tires were low when they are all at correct specs when using an air guage to check. November of 2025 while driving at night the headlights suddenly shut off briefly then came back back on. January of 2026 while leaving work the transmission would not shift, held accelerator pedal to floor but could not go above 20 mph all the way home for 3 miles. April of 2026 the right side of navigation screen went completely black, shut vehicle off twice and on third restart the screen reilluminated. June of 2026 same thing with the screen going black. I have had my Tuscon at the local dealer here in my town for supposedly a repair that they state was a "coaxel cable" behind the dash that was fixed that was causing this issue. I also had the recall performed for the front view camera software update but it is still showing not completed. This is very frustrating to be having experiencing these kind of issues on this new of a vehicle. Clearly something is going on with the software or something and the dealer keeps telling me they are not finding anything wrong. I am a service advisor myself at a small independent shop so I understand the terms they are using but something needs to be addressed to correct the issues that I am having. It is scary when driving and the screen goes black or driving at night and losing the headlight functions. I would appreciate if somebody will look into this and reach out to me to get some kind of remedy for why this is happening. I am paying alot for this vehicle and to say I am satisifed is an understatement. I have purchased Hyundai as my choice of vehicle due to the quality, great warranties and good reviews from other consumers however I am seriously thinking of exploring alternative makes as I do not want to keep going through this. Plus the engine consumes oil. I have attached p/w for review as well
