    Rear-visibility system issue

    BACK OVER PREVENTION:DISPLAY FUNCTION

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Alfa Romeo Giulia and Alfa Romeo Stelvio vehicles. The printed circuit board and software for the rearview camera may contain defects that cause the rearview camera image not to display properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

    Consequence

A rearview image that does not display properly reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

    Remedy

Dealers will inspect and replace the radio, as necessary. In addition, dealers will update the rearview camera software, as necessary. All repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 25, 2025. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is A2C. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov on October 14, 2025.

How this compares

At 27 MPG combined, the 2025 Alfa Romeo Giulia ranks 6th of 9 midsize cars EPA rated for 2025 — 3.4 MPG short of the 30.4 MPG median for that group.

That places it a little below the middle of its class. If annual mileage is high, the running-cost gap against a class-average rival compounds quickly.

EPA puts annual fuel spend at about $2,800, $800 more than the $2,000 typical for the class. Over five years at 15,000 miles a year that is roughly $14,000, a $4,000 difference against a class-median vehicle.

Tailpipe CO₂ is 330 grams per mile — about 5 metric tons over 15,000 miles of driving.

Consumer complaints

No owner complaints filed with NHTSA for this model year.

Nothing on file. Newer model years often have few complaints simply because fewer cars are on the road yet.
