FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM — Filed 04/10/2026

The vehicle went into a limp mode due to programming and safety issue known by Honda. One of the six fuel injectors failed according to the fault codes at the dealer. I have reached out to Honda and they won't even acknowledge the safety issue nor are they willing to reimburse the cost of the emergency safety repair caused by the vehicle going into limp mode. They won't put anything in writing nor will they consent to any recorded calls. I have reached out to Brad Ortloff as well and he won't respond. What are they hiding? Why did NHTSA allow Honda to get away with extending the warranty on the fuel injectors for certain Honda Odysseys rather than recalling them? What is the difference between the vehicles that were included? There are numerous vehicles that weren't included that are failing for the exact same reason. I can't get any answers from Honda. They just say they are not licensed techs. Brad Ortloff won't respond. Why is NHTSA allowing Honda to put citizen's safety at risk? Will someone please investigate this safety issue?

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE,LANE DEPARTURE — Filed 07/10/2026

The car started having the ACC, LKAS, Collisions Mitigation, Auto High Bam, Road Departure mitigation system warnings. Took it to the dealer for another repair and was told that these lights were due to the front facing camera and was quoted over $1k for repair. I’m convinced it’s electrical and not necessarily what the Honda narrative is. This model has had several issues around electrical components. Please open an investigation into this car around this issue.

AIR BAGS — Filed 12/01/2023

The contact owns a 2019 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 MPH uphill, the vehicle struck a curb. The vehicle was able to drive over the curb, but the air bags deployed. The contact stated that there was no damage to the vehicle to cause the air bags to deploy. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V227000 (Air Bags); as a possible cause for the failure; however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unavailable.

AIR BAGS,SEAT BELTS,SEATS — Filed 07/06/2026

Vehicle: 2019 Honda Odyssey Issue: Unintended airbag deployment consistent with Honda Recall UNW (SRS Control Unit Calibration Defect) Incident Type: Safety defect – airbags deployed without collision Location & Date: Highway 131, outside of Kalamazoo, MI - travel – normal road conditions on July 6, 2026 Insurance Outcome: Denied due to manufacturer defect, will only cover minor wheel damage While driving my 2019 Honda Odyssey on the highway, the vehicle hit a pot hole in the main lane and multiple airbags deployed without any collision, impact, or hazardous event. The side, and curtain airbags all deployed simultaneously. These airbags also did not deflate making it very difficult to see and could have been extremely dangerous. There was no crash, no debris, and no external damage to the vehicle. The deployment was sudden, violent, and completely unexpected. The circumstances of this incident match the description of Honda Safety Recall UNW, which identifies a defect in the SRS control unit calibration that can cause airbags to deploy from normal road vibration, potholes, or bumps. My vehicle’s behavior aligns exactly with the recall conditions. I filed a claim with my insurance provider (Allstate), and they issued a denial because the airbag deployment was caused by a manufacturer defect, not a collision or comprehensive event. As a result, I am left with over $10,000 in airbag related repair costs, including replacement of the airbag modules, seat airbags, curtain airbags, SRS sensors, and interior trim damaged by the deployment. I contacted Honda to request reimbursement under the recall, but Honda has refused my claim and pushed me back to my insurance provider. The lack of response from Honda leaves me with significant financial damage caused directly by a known recall defect. I am requesting NHTSA’s assistance in compelling Honda to address this recall related failure, reimburse the repair costs and ensure proper handling of unintended airbag deployments

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM — Filed 07/12/2026

When turning on my Honda Odyssey, the center console remained blank on ignition. When we went to reverse, the camera was not displayed. Even once the car was in drive, the center console remained blank. It would periodically begin to turn on once we started driving while turning off again with a disconnect notice throughout the drive. I have provided photo evidence of this issue. This is not the first time this has happened, and I have reported this issue with my vehicle previously.

UNKNOWN OR OTHER — Filed 06/21/2026

-Front multipurpose camera internal failure. Apparently this is a known cause which creates a "christmas tree" of warning lights: lane keeping assist problem, adaptive cruise control problem, auto high beam problem, road departure mitigation system problem and collision mitigation assist problem. There is a class action lawsuit on this. - safety was at risk as I have 3 kids and I was worried that it was going to stall. I spent couple days going to the dealership and autozone trying to solve whether it was the battery, accelerator, or the camera and spent 125 dollars to assess the problem - problem has been reproduced my dealership. Just had it repaired - no other warning lights were present before this problem.
