STEERING — Filed 08/01/2025
Bought brand new, I am at almost 68,000 miles. I have had vibration, rattling, etc near the front left of the car. After inspections and diagnostics. They said I need a new steering rack. It seems pre-mature to need a steering rack. No damage or high impact things have happened. Please investigate this issue to see if it could be manufacturing issue. Thank you! I am having it repaired by next week, if you need a receipt please email me at [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

POWER TRAIN — Filed 06/27/2026
A safety concern with some Honda Pilot models involves a potential transmission defect that can cause the vehicle to hesitate or fail to accelerate when the driver presses the accelerator. This unexpected loss of power can create hazardous situations, particularly when merging into traffic, crossing intersections, or attempting to avoid obstacles. Drivers have reported delayed engagement and inconsistent acceleration, raising concerns about the reliability and safety of the vehicle's transmission system.
UNKNOWN OR OTHER — Filed 06/30/2026
This week I was leaving an event to go home and was driving on a fairly busy local Road came to the stoplight. The light was red, came to a complete stop and waited for the light to turn green. When the light turned green I pressed my gas pedal and my vehicle stalled on me. It completely turned off. I had to reset my vehicle two times in order to get it started again so that I could make it to my next destination and by resetting it I had to power the vehicle off. I have a push to start vehicle so I have to power the vehicle off and then open my door, close my door then try to start my vehicle again with a push to start. That did not work so I had to do it again the same process and then my vehicle started. I had to then turn on the the button press the button to turn auto idle off. That is how my vehicle was able to drive and not stall on me again. I forgot to turn off that button on my initial trip and that's when my vehicle stalled.
UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM,LANE DEPARTURE — Filed 06/22/2026
I was driving home at 4am on I-95 with my children in the car. My car has had a history of "juttering" and making a vibrational noise, but on the way home there was an issue with acceleration when using the gas pedal, and slow to gain speed. There were times when the gas pedal didn't respond to my foot depression at all, and did not accelerate. When I was almost home, many lights came on my dash including: Blind Spot warning, emissions systems problem, transmission problem apply parking brake when parked, stop driving when safe transmission problem see manual. The car is not driveable at this time and sitting in my driveway. I have no idea where to tow it to or what to do or how much it will cost
FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE,LANE DEPARTURE — Filed 05/22/2026
Windshield cracked majorly after being hit by a small rock on the highway. Even after having it replaced and the camera recalibrated, 7 safety warnings of the ADAS come on. Reportedly, the frontcamera has failed, which is concerning in a car that has less than 50k and is just about 4yrs old. I believe this is a larger issue, the windshield truly should not have broken that easily and the camera failing so soon is problematic. It is also a very expensive fix.
VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL — Filed 12/03/2025
The contact owned a 2022 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that while reversing into the garage, the accelerator pedal was depressed and the vehicle continued to accelerate before crashing into the garage. On another occasion, while driving into the parking lot, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle independently accelerated and crashed into a store. There were no warning lights illuminated. The driver was not injured but sought medical attention at the hospital and was treated for three days. A police report was filed. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot. The contact was informed by a friend that the failure was related to the throttle body. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was towed to an unknown location and deemed a total loss by the Insurance provider. The failure mileage was unknown. The VIN was not available.
