NHTSA has crash-tested 83 Honda model years in our index, covering 10 models between 2015 and 2025. The average overall score is 5 stars, and 81 of those model years earned the full five.

None scored below four stars overall. A high floor across a range is common in recent model years, so the sub-scores are usually where the meaningful differences sit. The lowest rollover result here is 4 stars on the 2025 Honda CR-V; rollover measures how likely a vehicle is to roll, not how well it protects you if it does.

Star ratings compare vehicles of similar weight, so they are not transferable across classes: five stars on a compact car and five on a full-size SUV do not describe the same crash outcome.
