Toyota Fuel Economy

106 vehicles with EPA fuel economy data.

EPA publishes fuel-economy figures for 106 Toyota model years in our index, spanning 14 models from 2015 to 2025. Across those, combined economy averages 29.4 MPG.

The most efficient is the 2020 Toyota Mirai at 66 MPG combined; the least is the 2025 Toyota Tacoma at 22 MPG — a spread of 44 MPG across the range. At 15,000 miles a year that gap is worth roughly $2,386 a year in fuel.

Fuel types represented: regular gasoline, electricity, hydrogen. EPA figures come from a standardized test cycle, so they are comparable between vehicles but will not match what any individual driver sees.
